(b. 1975) is a Finnish photographer based in Helsinki. His works deal with mundane everyday occurrences, the lucid nature of time and the role and capacity of photography as its capturer and transformer. Trained as a photographer in Surrey (BA 1999) and Helsinki (MA 2009), Kaila’s work has been exhibited internationally. Kaila was cofounder of the influential skateboard magazine Numero (1998–2005) and continues as an editor of London-based Kingpin magazine from 2004 until present. In Helsinki, Kaila is currently member of board in the cooperatively run Myymälä2 gallery.
